Cayla Witrado was born and raised in Fresno, California. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in anatomy and physiology. While at Cal Poly, Cayla was on the Dean’s Honor List and was involved in TriBeta – Biological Honor Society. Following graduation, she studied to become an EMT and worked in the field for two years which allowed her the opportunity to treat and help patients in critical need.

Cayla went on to study at University of the Pacific, Sacramento where she graduated with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She was a part of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and received the Certificate for Excellence in Academic Achievement. Cayla completed her clinical rotations in several different specialties and gained invaluable, hands-on experience utilizing her skills. 

Cayla furthered her experience by working with patients in a physical medicine and an orthopedic setting which established a foundation and passion to work in pain management. She enjoys working with Dr. Salazar, our patients and her colleagues, and is pleased to be a part of the growing practice that is California Advanced Pain & Spine Specialists.
